BPL Professional Staff Association "Fill the Library with Love" Rally
Congratulations to BPL-PSA President Maty Cropley, BPL-PSA members, and the team at AFT-MA for their very successful “Fill the Library with Love” rally on Saturday, February 19, 2022. Library staff, patrons, and community members gathered to show support for the library and librarians and counter the hateful and disruptive mask disruptions that have occurred in the children's room of the BPL Central & Hyde Park branch. The rally was well publicized and reported on by local news outlets. The AFT-MA team worked to get press releases out to the State House News Service; and Maty Cropley did a great interview for Channel 25 on February 17, 2022 as well as being interviewed before and during the rally by various news outlets. What an awesome example of solidarity!
